DEFORESTATION-FREE CATTLE INVENTORY BALANCE

DCF Cattle Inventory Balance can be used to fund the capital expenditures required to improve fully verifiable traceability systems and scale up the urgent transition.

 

Through CIB direct funding (a joint action from Certified Origin and Traceability Implementation Initiative - COTI and PRIMI protocol), the full amount of the implementation costs required in the fully traceable cattle identification are transferred from the supporting company/brand to the ranchers (the costs of each CIB are: ear tagging, system and database uploads, various social environmental analysis of individual animal and farms, transactions and full verification process).

By purchasing leathers with Guarantee of Origin and Certification, brands can avoid emissions related to deforestation and land use change.

DCF Cattle Inventory Balance is focused in financing:

 

• R$ 7,00 - Ear tagging costs, system and database uploads 

• R$ 6,50 - Social environmental analysis of individual animal and farms

• R$ 6,50 – End to end verification process
